Civil servants the happiest in public's eyes (2)

60 percent said they are happy, an increase of 0.4 percentage points compared with 2011, while only 13 percent said they are not as happy as in 2011.

Civil servants are the happiest in the eyes of the public

Income, health, marriage and family relationship rank the first four places in the 2012 charts of "10 factors that impact happiness of the public." It is noteworthy that health ranked first in the charts in 2011, but in 2012, income ranks first and is 6.3 percentage points higher than health.

Chinese people feel happier at work in 2012 compared to 2011, with about 68 percent of respondents thinking they feel happy at work while the figure is 61 percent in 2011. In the charts of "the happiest vocations in the eyes of the public," the relatively stable vocations such as civil servants, government officials and teachers occupy the first places and those including couriers, drivers, nannies and miners lie in the end of the charts.
