Taking the gaokao at the foot of the snow-capped mountains
Who has ever been to a gaokao, China's national college entrance exam, site at an altitude of 4,000 meters?
The only exam site in Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai Province, sits right at the foot of snow-capped mountains. One week before the exam, teachers from Golog Xining Ethnic Middle School took more than 100 high school seniors by bus from Xining back to that site.
Carrying the resilience and vastness of the plateau, they set out from the foot of the mountains for their next journey across mountains and seas.
