Peng Xuwei breaks Asian record to defend 200m backstroke title at Asian Games

TOKYO, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's Peng Xuwei successfully defended her women's 200m backstroke title at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Tuesday, clocking two minutes 5.77 seconds to break the previous Asian record set in 2010.

Teammate Sun Mingxia took silver in 2:08.65, while Japan's Rio Shirai claimed bronze in 2:08.70.
