China sets Asian record to win men's 4x200m freestyle relay

TOKYO, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- China won the men's 4x200m freestyle relay at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Monday in an Asian record time of 7:00.17.

Team China produced a stunning final-leg comeback, overtaking Japan in the last 50 meters to secure the gold. Japan took silver in 7:01.05, while South Korea claimed bronze in 7:06.76.

China's swimming medal tally after two days of competition stood at 11 gold, five silver and four bronze medals.
