BEIJING, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Monday issued a travel safety alert advising Chinese tourists to raise their safety awareness and avoid traveling to the United States.

The ministry said that Chinese tourists have been treated unfairly in the United States due to the excessive epidemic prevention measures it recently adopted and its domestic safety situation.
