
BEIJING, July 28 -- Vice Premier Sun Chunlan asked officials to properly address the problems facing education services and build public satisfaction with education.
Sun told the Ministry of Education in a recent inspection visit that efforts should be made to address problems such as shortages and expensive fees of kindergartens as well as the heavy academic burden on the shoulders of primary and middle school students, according to a statement given to Xinhua Sunday.
Sun asked the officials to deepen reforms in the education sector, comprehensively improve education quality and promote equality.
She also instructed the ministry to carry out the Party education campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission," expose and correct problems at work.
