Michael Schumacher now able to walk

(Ecns.cn)    07:40, December 19, 2018

Michael Schumacher, the most successful Formula One driver in history, has reportedly become active after almost 5 years after he nearly died in a skiing accident, reports the Daily Mail.

The report says the 49-year-old racing star is no longer bed ridden, and does not require help to breathe.

However, the Daily Mail says Shumacher still does not have the ability to talk.

The report says Schumacher remains under intensive nursing care.

However, the report has not been confirmed by anyone directly connected to the former F1 champion, as his doctors, agent and family members have insisted on a tightly-sealed media blackout in connection with Shumacher's condition.

Previous reports in 2016 had suggested Shumacher was wheelchair bound at that time.

Shumacher was nearly killed after hitting his head on an exposed rock while skiing with his family in the French Alps in late December, 2013.
