Alibaba has announced on its Games page on Weibo that it won the exclusive rights to release Japanese company Hit-Point's mobile game "Traveling Frog" in China.
The beloved frog will venture out of its home country Japan, hitting China with an official Chinese version.
Japanese developers have been working on the Chinese version since January. No specific date for the release has been given.
"Traveling Frog" became a hit in China after it was first released in Japan in November, 2017.
It has garnered over 35 million downloads from Apple's App Store and Google Play. 90 percent of those downloads have come from China.
