Chinese and U.S. youths explore the cultural splendor of SW China's Yunnan

A group of 16 Chinese and American university students, participating in the "Across the Pacific: China-U.S. Youth Dialogue for a Shared Future" exchange program, visited Kunming and Dali, southwest China's Yunnan Province from July 15 to July 20, 2026.

The program, jointly organized by the China International Communications Group Center for the Americas and the U.S.-based International Student Conferences, aims at boosting people-to-people exchanges between China and the U.S. through youth engagement.

During the trip, Chinese and American youths tasted local snacks, wore ethnic costumes, appreciated natural scenery and communicated heart to heart. Breaking stereotypes through firsthand experiences, the youths recognized shared aspirations for communication and cooperation. They believe the younger generation bears the responsibility to deepen people-to-people ties and build a brighter future for China and the United States.
