Smart agriculture transforms field management in Inner Mongolia, N China

In Xiaochengzi village of Tongliao city, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, work is well underway on a 1-million-mu (66,667 hectares) demonstration zone for high-efficiency, water-saving agriculture. High-definition cameras, soil analyzers, smart irrigation systems and other Internet of Things (IoT) devices have been introduced to the fields, equipping agricultural production with a "smart brain."

Connected smart devices handle real-time crop monitoring, remote irrigation control and precise analysis of soil moisture and nutrient levels. Farming has evolved from relying on experience to making data-driven decisions, enabling more precise, efficient and sustainable agricultural production.
