BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhua) -- China urges the Philippines to cease its acts of infringements and provocations at sea, and inflammatory publicity and hype, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday.
Lin made the remarks when answering a relevant question at a regular news briefing.
Lin said that Huangyan Dao is an inherent territory of China, and China has indisputable sovereignty over Huangyan Dao and its adjacent waters.
China has the legitimate rights of a sovereign state to carry out any activities, including scientific research, at Huangyan Dao in the South China Sea, he said.
