Guangxi has much to offer, from iconic attractions like the Lijiang River and the Longji Rice Terraces, to cultural traditions such as folk songs, silver ornaments of the Miao ethnic group, and the drum towers of the Dong people.

The region is also renowned for its specialty products, including jasmine tea from Hengzhou and river snail rice noodles, also known as Luosifen, from Liuzhou, among many others.

Guangxi is often dubbed China's "fruit basket" as it has remained the country's top fruit-producing region for eight consecutive years. Fresh locally grown fruits are available throughout the year, while specialty fruits from ASEAN countries are delivered quickly, giving consumers easy access to produce from across Southeast Asia.

Guangxi is also China's largest sericulture hub. It produces 62.7 percent of the country's silkworm cocoons, ranking first for 20 consecutive years.

Guangxi is steadily moving up the global value chain, with industries ranging from deep-sea intelligent equipment to high-end digital manufacturing, all serving international markets.

Today, the region is accelerating the development of a cross-border industrial ecosystem that links R&D in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou with manufacturing integration in Guangxi and real-world application across ASEAN markets.

In 2025, the output value of core industries in the field of artificial intelligence in the region exceeded 80 billion yuan ($11.73 billion).
