Locals turn fresh tea leaves into spring dishes in SW China's Yunnan

In Zhenyuan Yi, Hani and Lahu Autonomous County, Pu'er city, southwest China's Yunnan Province, fresh tea leaves are more than a drink — they're a seasonal ingredient. Locals prepare them by steaming, stir-frying, boiling or mixing with other ingredients. Retaining more natural compounds than processed tea, fresh leaves bring a unique taste of spring from the mountains to the table.
