New batch of national standards takes effect in China
BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) -- A set of newly released national standards took effect in China on Wednesday, providing standard support for leading the development of emerging industries, promoting the upgrading of traditional industries, improving the quality of transportation and tourism services, and protecting consumer rights.
Among them, the technical requirements for relay protection of photovoltaic power stations will help regulate the protection, remote monitoring, operation and maintenance of grid-connected photovoltaic stations.
The standard for centrifugal pumps used in the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries specifies requirements regarding classification, nomenclature, technical parameters and fundamental design.
The standard on quality and evaluation of multimodal transport services, meanwhile, defines service guarantees, requirements and quality assessment, clarifying evaluation indicators and their calculation methods.
The national standard on service quality requirements for tour boats specifies the basic requirements, facilities and equipment, environment, reception service, interpretation, service personnel and service management of tour boat services.
The technical specification for tea supply chain management outlines the technical requirements for supplier selection and management, procurement, processing, transportation and distribution, and sales in the tea supply chain.
China issued 4,929 national standards in 2025, a 56-percent increase year on year, according to official statistics released in February.
