China urges parties to prevent regional instability from further affecting global economy

BEIJING, March 16 (Xinhua) -- China again calls on all parties to immediately halt military operations and avoid further escalation of tensions to prevent regional instability from exerting an even greater impact on global economy, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday.

Lin made the remarks at a regular news briefing when asked to comment on U.S. remarks concerning China regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
