Indian Air Force's Sukhoi Su-30 crashes in northeastern state

NEW DELHI, March 6 (Xinhua) -- A Sukhoi Su-30 MKI fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in the northeastern state of Assam, officials said Friday.
According to IAF, the fighter jet crashed in the state's Karbi Anglong district while on a training mission.
However, there was no information about the aircraft's pilots.
The aircraft took off on Thursday evening from Jorhat airbase, about 297 km northeast of Dispur, the capital city of Assam, and subsequently lost contact.
