China to announce final ruling on Canadian rapeseed anti-dumping case by March 9
BEIJING, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- China will announce the final ruling on its anti-dumping investigation into rapeseed imports from Canada before March 9, 2026, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said at a regular press conference on Thursday.
Given the complexity of the case, the investigation period has been extended, the ministry said.
It will fully consider Canada's reasonable concerns within the framework of relevant rules, and make an objective and fair final ruling based on the facts and evidence.
During Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's visit to China in January, the two countries made specific arrangements to properly address bilateral economic and trade concerns in areas such as electric vehicles (EVs), steel and aluminum products, rapeseed, and agricultural and aquatic products, the ministry said.
It said that Canada will make positive adjustments to its unilateral measures against Chinese EVs as well as steel and aluminum products, and China will adjust its anti-discrimination measures correspondingly in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
