Chinese defense minister holds video talk with Russian counterpart

BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun held a video talk with Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov on Tuesday.

Dong said China stands ready to work with Russia to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen strategic coordination, enrich the content of cooperation, improve communication mechanisms, and jointly enhance the ability to address various risks and challenges, so as to inject positive energy into global security and stability.

Belousov said Russia is willing to strengthen strategic consultations between militaries with China, deepen practical cooperation in areas such as joint operations and personnel training, and promote the bilateral strategic coordination to a higher level.
