On the evening of May 18, 2025, spectacular drone, firework and musical fountain performances were held at the Ulan Mulun Lake Scenic Area in Kangbashi district, Ordos city, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to welcome China Tourism Day, which falls on May 19.
As night fell, crowds gathered at the scenic area. Against the backdrop of brilliant lights, 1,000 drones rose up slowly to form patterns like themed graphics and landmark buildings such as the Ordos Museum. Fireworks illuminated the night sky with dazzling brilliance. As melodies with regional characteristics played, water columns from a fountain shot skyward, while lasers projected dynamic images onto the mist, drawing frequent exclamations of awe from spectators who eagerly raised their phones to capture these breathtaking moments.
Ordos will use China Tourism Day as an opportunity to launch a rich variety of cultural and tourism activities.
