Chinese vice premier meets Tunisian prime minister

BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang on Tuesday met with Tunisian Prime Minister Kamel Maddouri, who is in Beijing for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China is willing to constantly strengthen cooperation with Tunisia in areas such as infrastructure, economy, trade, investment, science, education, culture and health.

Maddouri said Tunisia stands ready to actively participate in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, deepen pragmatic cooperation with China in various fields and take bilateral relations to a higher level.
