Chinese special envoy attends inauguration of Madagascar's President Rajoelina

ANTANANARIVO, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of President of the Republic of Madagascar Andry Nirina Rajoelina, Hu Chunhua, special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping and vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended Rajoelina's inauguration here Saturday and met with Rajoelina Sunday.

Hu conveyed cordial greetings and good wishes from Xi to Rajoelina. China attaches great importance to the development of China-Madagascar relations and is willing to work with Madagascar to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, continue to firmly support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns, and advance their comprehensive cooperative partnership to a new level, Hu said.

Rajoelina sincerely thanked the Chinese president for sending a special envoy to attend his inauguration and asked Hu to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to Xi.

Madagascar highly values the traditional friendship with China and stands ready to expand cooperation with China in key areas, such as agriculture, industry, energy and human resources, to push bilateral relations to a higher level.
