Inner Mongolia to host national dance exhibition in July
BEIJING, June 29 (Xinhua) -- The 14th national dance exhibition will be held from July 6 in the city of Ordos in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, according to China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Performers from 30 provincial-level regions will take part in the event, with more than 80 outstanding works to be presented, ministry official Huang Xiaoju said at a press conference on Thursday.
The high-quality program will cover a wide range of subjects, including traditional Chinese culture, the country's revolutionary history and the process of China's industrial growth, and will demonstrate the vigorous development of the art of dance in China, Huang said.
The productions will have low ticket prices for members of the public, and will also be livestreamed online to make the arts more accessible for a wider audience.
