Domestic, overseas press invited to cover 20th CPC national congress

BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Both domestic and overseas press have been invited to cover the upcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), according to an official statement released on Thursday.

Applications to cover the congress can be submitted between Sept. 2 and 16. Journalists from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries are welcome to submit applications here: http://cpc20reg.zgjx.cn.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic across the world, news coverage of the congress will be conducted through on-site reporting, via online video links or in written forms, among other ways.

Chinese and foreign journalists in Beijing are welcome to cover the congress through on-site reporting. Overseas journalists are welcome to cover the congress via online video links or written interviews.

During the congress, a media center will be established in Beijing to receive members of the press, organize press conferences and arrange interviews for reporters. An official website and account for the media center, as well as a news platform powered by cloud technology, will also be available.
