In 2018, in order to better assume its responsibilities as the provincial capital, Changsha has accelerated its airport, port, and railway construction; improved air, rail, water, and highway transportation; and, sped up building a national logistics center. It has been awarded the national comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zone.
In 2018, Changsha actually utilized 5.78 billion USD foreign capital, up 10% over last year, including 420 million USD of foreign direct investment. A total of 39 projects funded by top 500 enterprise were launched.
The turnover from foreign contracted projects and labor cooperation reached 1.74 billion USD, up 30%. The import and export volume reached 19.5 billion USD, up 40%, with a growth rate ranking first among the provincial capitals in central China.
