Ninety-five key projects -- each worth at least 200 million yuan ($29.24 million) -- were launched in Changsha with a total investment of 138.66 billion yuan in the first half of 2018.
According to Changsha's bureau of commerce, the city's incoming investment has grown greatly due to the resurgence of the manufacturing industry and steady increase in domestic and foreign capital as well as investment activity in the tertiary industries.
More than 152 Fortune 500 companies are active in Changsha. Eighteen of them were established in the first half of the year, including 10 of international scope and eight domestic companies in the fields of new energy, intelligent manufacture, trade, and finance.
Leading companies kept on yielding fruitful outcomes in the first half of the year while construction of emergent projects was accelerated.
A series of investment promotion activities were held, resulting in increased quantity and quality of projects.
