On December 31, 2016, Zhao Hongzhuan, Member of Xi’an Municipal Standing Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone, leaders from Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone (XHTZ), and all the cadres and staff members, as well as nearly a thousand law enforcement team members, cleaners, and volunteers went to all the streets of the XHTZ. They were distributed among different street blocks to clean up cigarette butts, garbage and other things on the streets, ground, and lawns.

It is understood that since December 19, 2016, the XHTZ has started to carry out a series of campaigns called “No Garbage on the Ground, We Give You a More Beautiful XHTZ.” The campaigns will last till February 26, 2017, during which 5 campaigns will be carried out.
