On 29 December 2016, the Inaugural & Signing Ceremony of the Yunnan International Coffee Exchange (YCE) was held in Pu'er, which is known as the "World Tea Source" and the "Chinese Coffee Capital." Wei Xing, Secretary of the CPC Pu'er Municipal Committee, Yang Hongxia, Deputy Director General of the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province, Chi Zhonghua, President of Yunnan State Farms Group, and Cao Ronggen, Chairman of YCE, attended and addressed the ceremony. Yang Zhaohui, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Pu'er Municipal Committee and Mayor of Pu'er, presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, YCE's representative signed credit contracts with their counterparts from Huaxia Bank, Bank of China, China Citic Bank, and Futian Bank. A strategic cooperation agreement was also signed with the general representative of S.H. China, and several supply agreements were signed with some coffee enterprises in Yunnan Province.
