Located in the southwest of Lhasa, Yamdroktso Lake is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, together with Namtso Lake and Manasarovar Lake. This 675-square-kilometer body of water is the largest inland lake on the northern slope of the Himalaya Mountains. Yamdroktso Lake means "lake of jade" in the Tibetan language. The peaceful blue surface of the lake resembles a sapphire. (Photo/People.cn)
