Nurse consoles young patient with 'balloon glove'

On Oct. 12, photos of a girl holding a "smiling" inflated surgical glove went viral online.

The 4-year-old had just undergone a tonsillectomy at a hospital in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province. After waking up from the anesthesia, the girl could not stop crying. In order to console her, a nurse, Chen Yanqing, cleverly took off her glove and blew it into a balloon, drawing a big smile on it. The little girl quickly stopped her tears and even began to smile herself.
