Woman spends 30,000 RMB to save her cat

A cat in Yichang, Hubei province was severely injured after allegedly being thrown from a high-rise building on Oct. 10.

Soon after, Zou Rongyan, the owner of the cat, spent more than 30,000 RMB to save her pet's life. Four veterinary professionals - an anesthesiologist, a surgical nurse, a surgeon and an assistant physician - were involved in the cat's life-saving surgery. After more than four hours, the cat, Mimi, was taken to a recovery room. She will stay in a pet ICU for three to four days before receiving follow-up treatments.
