A knife-wielding woman who attempted to commit suicide was saved by an off-duty police officer in southwest China’s Chengdu.
The woman in red was seen shouting and yelling on the sidewalk. She was holding a knife with her right hand while stretching out her left wrist, apparently attempting to cut it. An off-duty traffic police officer happened to be at the scene while on his way home. He slowly and quietly approached the woman without drawing her attention. Right before the woman made her attempt, the heroic officer succeeded pinning her down from her back without having anyone get hurt.
