The Japan Coast Guard rescued 6 Chinese fishermen after their fishing boat collided with a Greek ship near Diaoyu Island on Thurday morning, Japanese media reported.
At 5 a.m. on Aug. 11, a Japanese coast guard vessel received a distress signal from a Greek freighter, which the Japanese guard found at 37 miles northwest of Diaoyu Island. The freighter had collided with a Chinese fishing boat. The Japanese coast guard rescued six Chinese crew members and sent a patrol vessel and plane to continue the rescue.
