A city in northern China has issued a fine to a man surnamed Wang after he downloaded and saved six videos related to violence and terrorism. His actions broke China's Anti-Terrorism Law, according to a report by a local newspaper.
The report states that Wang used the name WAGA to download several video clips that advocated for terrorism. He then saved them to his laptop and uploaded them to the cloud.
According to the law, if someone creates or propagates information related to terrorism that includes details regarding implementation or description of concrete terrorist activities, they will be sentenced to custody for anywhere from five to 15 days, and they can be fined up to 10,000 yuan.
