It has been confirmed that UN peacekeepers from China have suffered fatalities and injuries in attacks as a recent escalation of fighting has occurred in The South Sudanese Capital Juba.
At this time, no additional details about the casualties have been revealed.
So far, at least 271 people have been confirmed dead as a result of Friday's clashes between rival army factions in Juba and it's reported that heavy fighting has resumed.
The latest casualties to the UN peacekeeping forces took place just one month after a Chinese soldier was killed during a terrorist attack on the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali.
