Continuous rainfall has affected 522,300 people, destroyed 600 houses and forced 40,900 to relocate in 317 townships in Hunan.

YUEYANG, July 5, 2016 (Xinhua) -- Photo taken on July 5, 2016 shows submerged houses in Yunxi District of Yueyang, central China's Hunan Province. Continuous rainfall has affected 522,300 people, destroyed 600 houses and forced 40,900 to relocate in 317 townships in Hunan. Local flood control authorities upgraded the emergency response to Level II Monday noon. (Xinhua/Long Hongtao)
