Daimei Village, located at the lower reaches of Nanxi branch of Jiulong River in Dongyuan Town of Longhai, is known as the "ancient village on water". Surrounded by water, the village is also famous for its ancient buildings constructed with red bricks and is listed as one of the Chinese villages renowned for history and culture.
