Stunning Pictures Show Osprey Goes In For The Kill

The incredible photos taken by English wildlife photographer Bill Doherty show an osprey goes in water for the kill in a daring river hunt.

The osprey caused a splash as he made an impressive swoop down onto a river to catch the fish in River Spey in the Scottish Cairngorms.

Ospreys only eat fish, and experienced ospreys are successful in catching their pray in one out of every four dives. “But it’s difficult to obtain good shots of ospreys, especially when they are in flight and diving,” Doherty said.
