Photos taken on March 4, 2016 show the models don “Ao Dai”, the national costume in Vietnam, to catwalk the runway in Hanoi. The traditional costume shines colorfully into the modern fashion industry, and is no less stunning than the luxury brands showcased in Paris.

“Ao Dai” is a Vietnamese national costume, now most commonly worn by women. In its current form, it is a tight-fitting silk tunic worn over pants. "Ao" classifies the item as a piece of clothing on the upper part of the body. "Dai" means "long".
