Self-taught artist embroiders dragon robe with gold and silver worth 400,000 yuan

He Mingyuan, 37, a self-taught artist using threads made of 1 kilogram of gold and 1 kilogram of silver, embroidered a gorgeous dragon robe. She worked over 13 hours on the embroidery every day and finally finished it in six months.

The dragon robe is specially made for the commemorative ceremony for Zhao Ding, a patriotic general of ancient China's Nan (Southern) Song Dynasty (1127–1279), held in Gonglu Temple in Jinhua, east China's Zhejiang province. The dragon robe costs over 400,000 yuan (about US $ 60,696). (Photo/Jhnews)
