Northeast region railways ready for Spring Festival travel rush

A 350-kilometer-long high speed railway linking Jilin City and Hunchun City, two cities in Jilin Province, started operation last September. The line is said to be "northeast China's most beautiful high-speed rail line" as it passes through many scenic spots of Jilin. During the Spring Festival travel rush, which kicked off on Jan. 24, the line is expected to carry over 800,000 passengers.
