Man Celebrates 100-Year-Old Birthday with Skydiving

For some, it is never too old to be a daredevil. An American named Glenn Quillin decided to celebrate his 100-year-old birthday by jumping out of a plane for a perfect skydive. The site was chosen by his grandson near Otay Lakes in California. Nearly a dozen family members were there to watch. Right before Mr. Quillin made his jump, an incident occurred: A woman was injured due to a hard landing right in front of the Quillin’s family. This did not stop the determination of Mr. Quillin. The jump went off without a hitch.

“The first thing that comes to mind is there’s nothing to hang onto,” Mr. Quillin said, after making the jump. “It was just a great jump and I enjoyed every second of it. It was just terrific.”
