| The center is inaugurated on Thursday. |
Four Chinese universities, together with two archives and one institution, set up a research center specializing in the study of Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression Thursday.
The four universities include Nanjing University, Peking University, Nankai University and Wuhan University.
Zhang Xianwen, a professor of Nanjing University explained that the studies on the war will not be confined to the Asian battlefield; it will cover the entire Asia-Pacific battlefield.
Historian Jin Chongji said that since previous studies were not quite fruitful because they were not systematic and in-depth enough, the new center will conduct better research by pooling wisdom from all circles.
The study will cover areas of military, politics, economy, culture, diplomacy and so on.
