Chaji is located in Xuancheng, east China's Anhui province. The 10-kilometer-long complex of buildings of Ming and Qing dynasties lies on the banks of the Chaji River. There are 80 buildings of Ming dynasty and 109 buildings of Qing dynasty within the complex.
