After more than one month of excavation, a number of cultural relics have been unearthed from the west and east wing rooms of the main tomb of the Marquis of Haihun of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - 8 AD).

Archeologists unearthed bronze lamps, long tables, and an ancient piece of amber with insects inside among other pieces from the main tomb on Dec. 14, 2015.

A cultural relics scholar said that the piece of amber would not have been in the possession of an aristocrat of low or middle rank, so this discovery makes it likely that the main tomb is that of Liu He, grandson of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty.

The main coffin will be transported to a lab for further archeological study on Dec. 15, 2015.
