Four Chinese chefs teach cooking skills in Israel

Four famous Chinese chefs teach in cooking schools of Israel. People speak highly of the delicious food. (Video from People's Daily Online)

At the invitation of the State Ministry of Israeli Tourism, four famous Chinese chefs went to Israel to teach in cooking schools recently, in order to provide better service for Chinese tourists who want to travel in Israel.

The four chefs were respectively designated to the cities of Tel Aviv, Heather Leah, Tiberias and Eilat. Students in the schools will learn how to cook some of the most popular Chinese dishes such as Kung Pao Chicken and fish-flavored eggplant.

The 'Chinese Cooking Corner' event was held in Tel Aviv on Dec. 3. The four Chinese chefs demonstrated their excellent cooking skills and invited the participants to taste delicious Chinese food in the warm and hilarious atmosphere. Many Israeli chefs were impressed by the diversified Chinese dishes.

"This chef invitation activity is a part of the 'Welcome to China' (China Ready) program of State Ministry of Israeli Tourism. We are trying to train more Chinese tour guides, hoping to give Chinese tourists better services. Chinese dish plays a crucial role for Chinese tourists, and we hope that Israeli chefs could learn the Chinese cooking skills and feel the charm of Chinese cuisines through this activity. In this way, more and more restaurants and hotels would provide authentic and delicious Chinese food, as well as better service to Chinese tourists. We will organize more similar activities, in order to enhance soft power of Israeli tourism," said Amir Halevi, the General Director of State Ministry of Israeli Tourism.
