A hippo is seen emerging from the water at Lake Naivasha in Kenya. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in northwestern Kenya, outside the town of Naivasha in Nakuru County. It is part of the Great Rift Valley. The name comes from the local Maasai name meaning "rough water".
