APPLE CURD FOR CONSTIPATION
This tastes delicious and is very easy to make. If you want to eat this straight away, you’ll need to soak the linseeds (also known as flaxseeds) overnight before adding them to the curd.
THINGS YOU'LL NEED
125 g (4 oz/ 1/2 cup) curd cheese or quark
1 apple, grated
1 teaspoon linseeds (flaxseeds)
1 teaspoon honey
GET STARTED
Put the curd in a bowl and add the grated apple, linseeds and honey. Mix well. Add a little water to suit your personal taste.
If you haven’t soaked the linseeds overnight, crush them and let the mixture rest for 10 minutes before eating.
This gives the linseeds time to release all their beneficial properties.

WHY WE BELIEVE IT WORKS
When my sister did some research into the health benefits of apples, she decided that we simply must eat more of them.
They have a high nutritional value, contain many vitamins and trace elements, and aid digestion.
The fruit acids in apples inhibit harmful enzymes and putrefactive bacteria in the gut.
Curd is anti-inflammatory, soothes digestion and contains many minerals and vitamins. It will also boost your metabolism.
Linseeds are a food and a medicine in one. They aid digestion, protect the lining of the intestines and are rich in dietary fibre. They are also high in minerals and vitamins.
Crush or soak them before eating.
Honey is a mild and natural laxative.
An infusion made from caraway, fennel and aniseed improves digestion and can ease flatulence as the oils in caraway seeds have carminative properties - meaning they prevent the formation of gas
