Suspected of Theft, Woman Bound in Meat Market

A woman, 40, was found bound in meat market with a sticker on her saying “I am a thief, stealing Pork and Mutton!” in Nanning city, South ‪‎China‬'s Guangxi province, on November 2, 2015.

Local residents said that the woman often committed theft in the meat market. She was caught in the act this very day. She was bound to the ground by the market managers and surrounding people. Local police finally came to her rescue and took her to the police station.

Such exposure to public humiliation before the woman has her day in court triggered heated discussion on China's social media.
