The 500-square-kilometer wetland of Kanglake lake is fed by the Qarqan River running from Mt. Kunlun, nourishing a wild variety of wildlife.

Birds fly over the Kanglake Lake in the Taklimakan Desert, the biggest moving desert in China, in the county's northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The 500-square-kilometer wetland of Kanglake lake is fed by the Qarqan River running from Mt. Kunlun, nourishing a wild variety of wildlife. (Xinhua/Li Yang)
