On June 26, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is a legal right across the country's 50 states.

Justice Anthony Kennedy authored the 34-page decision, saying that "No union is more profound than marriage, which is a keystone of the nation's social order", and there is "no difference between same and opposite-sex couples."

From Italian designer Giorgio Armani to American TV host Ellen DeGeneres, from British musician Elton John to Hollywood actress Jodie Foster, foreign gay and lesbian celebrities seem to have more courage to come out and be proud of who they are.

In China, there are also plenty of homosexual actors and singers, but most of them are not brave enough to come out publicly.

Ji Mi is considered the first celebrity who publicly acknowledged his sexual orientation as gay on the Chinese mainland. As a famous stylist, Ji Mi has worked with numerous singers and movie stars at home and abroad, including Jet Li, Gong Li, Zhang Ziyi and Ricky Martin.

In 2000, he founded the first vocational school for making-up in China, and then established a cosmetic company and created a high-end ladies' clothing brand.

In 2009, he came out and openly announced he is gay. After that, he searched for a boyfriend for himself on his Weibo, the Twitter-like social media site, with some requirements, such as the boy should be more than 1.85 meters tall, kind-hearted, responsible, single-minded; his age should be between 25 to 35, and no limit for nationality.
