On June 26, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is a legal right across the country's 50 states.
Justice Anthony Kennedy authored the 34-page decision, saying that "No union is more profound than marriage, which is a keystone of the nation's social order", and there is "no difference between same and opposite-sex couples."
From Italian designer Giorgio Armani to American TV host Ellen DeGeneres, from British musician Elton John to Hollywood actress Jodie Foster, foreign gay and lesbian celebrities seem to have more courage to come out and be proud of who they are.
In China, there are also plenty of homosexual actors and singers, but most of them are not brave enough to come out publicly.
